Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instructional DutiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the IGCSE curriculum.
Utilize varied teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning needs.
Provide feedback and guidance to students, ensuring they understand key concepts and are adequately prepared for examinations.
Assessment & FeedbackRegularly assess student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations.
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Track and report students' progress to the department head and school administration.
Professional DevelopmentStay updated with the latest developments in the IGCSE curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Attend professional development sessions, workshops, and seminars as required.
Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and professional growth.
Classroom ManagementCreate a positive, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.
Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a disciplined and focused classroom.
Address and resolve any behavioral issues in consultation with the school's disciplinary team.
Parental CommunicationConduct regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Provide regular updates to parents on school events, curriculum changes, and other relevant information.
Extra-Curricular InvolvementParticipate in and sometimes lead school events, trips, clubs, and other extra-curricular activities.
Engage with students outside of the classroom to foster a holistic learning experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant subject area.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Minimum of [2-5 Years] experience teaching IGCSE or equivalent curriculum.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Familiarity with international school environments and diverse student populations.
